Battlefield 1 is getting the brand new Nivelle Nights DLC map on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
But there is a catch, however, as the Nivelle Nights DLC map will only be available to Premium members in June.
According to DICE, the map takes place at night in the Chemin des Dames in 1917.
“As darkness falls over the muddy battlefields around Malmaison and Soupir, French and German batteries prepare to yet again support their troops on the contested ground,” reads the official description.
“The moon, the searchlights, and the artillery lights up the night skies, exposing the vast network of trenches.
“Bite and hold as your foe will fight for every inch of ground. Strategy and teamwork will overcome those who have neither.”
The Nivelle Nights map has a June release date, but there’s no word on if and when it will be available to non-subscribers
The next DLC pack is called Battlefield 1: In The Name Of The Tsar, which takes place on the Eastern Front.
“Battlefield 1 In The Name Of The Tsar will bring you to the Eastern Front, where you will fight alongside the Russian army and witness the brutality of combat and the bitter cold of the Russian winters,” reads a blog post.
“Prepare yourself for all new tactics employed by the Russian army. Though the frost is cold, the steel is colder.”
Each new expansion contains maps, weapons, vehicles and game modes. Premium members can play first.
But you don’t need a Premium pass to benefit from the other new features releasing as part of the spring update.
This includes Platoons, which lets players join forces with friends.
“Finally, you’ll be able to organize and join forces with your friends, execute swift victories, and achieve goals as one unit,” DICE continues. “Stay tuned for more info on Platoons and the Spring Update release.”
Big updates will also be released on a more regular basis, as DICE plans to improve the game experience every month.
